The MQM leader Rana Ansar had a younger son named Shahzaib Naqvi.
Rescue officials said the vehicle overturned and struck the sidewalk in the early hours of the morning near the Clifton underpass. Shahzaib, a young man, died in the accident from head injuries, while Muhammad Ilyas, a buddy, was hurt.
The deceased, Shahzaib, was the youngest son of the late senior journalist Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi and Begum Rana Ansar, an MNA for MQM Pakistan, according to police sources. Shahzaib lived at Askari 4 on Rashid Minhas Road.
The police gave the deceased’s body to the family after completing the necessary legal procedures.
The family says that after Isha prayers at the mosque today, Syed Shahzaib Naqvi’s burial prayer would be said.
