Mohammad Tahir Rai, the National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (Nacta), was relieved of his duties by a notification from the Establishment Division.
Mohammad Rai Tahir was directed by the Establishment Division to report to the Division.
Following approval by the federal cabinet, the federal government dismissed Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi, the director general of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in April 2022. It replaced it with Muhammad Rai Tahir, a grade-21 officer and national coordinator for the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).
