Lahore City Traffic Police Officer (CTO) Amara Athar has declared strict steps to stop risky driving behaviors, such as riding motorcycles without silencers and one-wheeling, as Pakistan’s Independence Day draws near.
The Traffic Response Unit has been charged with enforcing these laws to protect public safety during the celebrations, CTO Lahore stressed in an interview with SAMAA TV.
Anyone found one-wheeling or operating a motorcycle without a silencer will be subject to legal action, including possible arrests, according to CTO Amara Athar. “We’re determined to make sure that on Independence Day, everyone abides by the regulations. Violists will face severe consequences, and the Traffic Response Unit will be actively monitoring the streets, the spokesperson stated.
