ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court’s Justice Yahya Afridi has issued a separate note, instructing the Puisne Judge to review the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) notification of returned candidates on the reserved seats, as the controversy surrounding the reserved seats continues to engulf the nation’s political landscape.
It states that a returned candidate must be recognized as a returned candidate representing the designated political party and not otherwise if they duly presented a certificate of nomination, identified themselves to be a representative of that political party, and did not withdraw their candidacy by written notification.
