ISLAMABAD: The recently elected member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sher Afzal Marwat, has denied the claims that the party’s core committee meeting was ruined by a fierce argument amongst leaders.
The politician clarified the situation in relation to the claims by calling the heated exchange of words with Shamim Naqvi, the party’s head located in Karachi, and others “false and malicious”.
He said, “The debate in a party meeting ought not to be construed as differences in the party,” in a post on X, which was Twitter at the time.
Marwat reaffirmed that the party will “continue to work together like a rock” and that it is “united”.
Marwat and Niazullah Niazi allegedly got into a heated dispute over accusations and counter-allegations regarding the subject of the ‘batsman’ (PTI-Nazriyati) during the party meeting on Monday.
Geo News contacted the PTI spokesperson for comments, but he did not reply.
Marwat questioned during the meeting who introduced the concept of “batsman” and said that it was the source of all the party’s problems.
