The Four Paws stated on Tuesday that it appears the Safari Park administration was not responsible for Sonia’s death.
But it claimed that the female elephant’s quarters were insufficiently large.
Speaking on News’ “Pakistan” show, Dr. Amir Khalil, the director of the Four Paws Mission, stated that both the park administration and the Four Paws were aware of Sonia’s prolonged illness.
According to Khalil, “the elephant’s trunk had infection and its hind legs had swelling,” and the tusker had also been losing weight for a while.
On the evening of December 7, Sonia, an elephant who had lived in Safari Park for a long time, unexpectedly passed away.
