While facing accusations of fabricating company records, the Republican presidential contender has occasionally seemed agitated or listless in court, even at one point appearing to nod off.
But on Wednesday, he appeared energized as he addressed an enthusiastic audience of supporters for over an hour and a half at a rally outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He addressed the majority of the important issues of his campaign, including immigration, the economy, foreign policy, and his disapproval of President Joe Biden.
He constantly improvised during the campaign, as he normally does. “I’m 92% off teleprompter,” he said, seemingly taunting his Democratic opponent, whom he frequently charges of being unduly dependent on prepared statements.
This week, the former president was fined $9,000 (£7,180) for making disparaging public remarks about those connected to the case. The case centers on the payment of hush money to Stormy Daniels, a porn actress who claims she had an affair with Mr. Trump.
