The improvised explosive device went off close to the security personnel who were patrolling the Razmak sub-division’s tehsil Gariyum on a regular basis, according to the sources.
Havaldar Zahid and Sepoy Shahid, the two personnel, perished in the IED explosion.
Soon after the blast, the security forces began a search operation in the area to find the perpetrators, even though the bodies were eventually moved to the Miramshah district headquarters hospital.
