The foreign ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement early on Monday that there had been significant damage done to the home in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan.
The ministry then emphasized how crucial it is to uphold the treaties and norms that govern diplomatic relations in order to safeguard diplomatic premises and the homes of embassy personnel.
The Sudanese army, which is in combat with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has previously accused the UAE of arming and funding the group. It has not yet responded to the UAE’s allegations.
It follows the army of Sudan’s resumption of its onslaught on Khartoum last week, during which at least four civilians were killed in combat between the RSF and the Sudanese military in the Karrari district.
Since April of last year, RSF fighters and the Sudanese army have been at war.
