The weather in Karachi right now is hot and muggy, with highs in the 90s and no sea breeze. The second monsoon phase is likely to come starting on July 19 or 20, so respite may be on the way. The Met Department has predicted that the weather will continue scorching for the next three days.
The humidity and light clouds that Karachi residents are experiencing are making the heat unbearable because there are no sea breezes.
The city saw a minimum temperature of 32.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday, while a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius was predicted.
But because of the high humidity—which is currently at 75%—it feels more like 40 degrees Celsius. Because of the humidity, the heat will feel more intense.
The Met Department reports that the city’s current temperature is 34 degrees Celsius and that winds are blowing at a pace of 10 km/h. The lack of sea breezes has made it feel hotter and more humid, which is uncomfortable for the locals.
