A spokeswoman for the actor informed People magazine that Efron had a “minor swimming incident” in the pool of his Ibiza property, where he is vacationing.
His representative confirmed that Efron was brought to the hospital, but merely for precautionary reasons.
“He is fine,” the representative said of the 36-year-old.
TMZ originally reported on Saturday that Efron was discovered in the pool by villa personnel and rescued from the water.
The night before the incident, Efron seemed to be in good spirits. In a TikTok video, the “A Family Affair” actor is seen partying at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club, dancing on stage with DJ Martin.
