At Karachi port on Wednesday, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) effectively stopped a smuggling effort and confiscated a sizable shipment of methamphetamine, also referred to as ice.
Officials found almost 700 kg of the narcotic concealed inside a container bound for Malaysia during a raid at the South Asia Pakistan Terminal.
To avoid detection, the methamphetamine was cleverly combined with calcium carbonate.
When ANF officers examined 854 packages of calcium carbonate, they discovered the drug hidden in 28 of them.
