LAHORE: In accordance with Islamic jurisprudence, Darul Iftah Jamia Naeemia, Pakistan’s top seminary, has issued a Fatwa that declares flying kites, one-wheeling, and aerial gunfire to be sins and against Sharia (Islamic law).
The Lahore police requested the Fatwa in order to get advice from religious scholars about wheelie, aerial firing, and kite flying in light of Sharia law, since hundreds of people had been killed by metal strings, stray bullets, and one-wheeling.
The Fatwa states: “Preservation of human life is utmost priority in Islam,” according to the religion’s precepts.
In order to safeguard citizens’ lives, property, and honor, the Fatwa called on everyone to abide by the laws of the state.
