Shelby County Chancellor JoeDae Jenkins issued a temporary injunction against Graceland’s intended auction, which was slated for Thursday.
Mr Jenkins’ injunction effectively maintains a prior restraining order he gave when the singer’s granddaughter Riley Keough sued to stop what she felt was a fraudulent scheme.
A public notice for a foreclosure sale of the 13-acre estate in Memphis, Tennessee, released earlier in May stated that Promenade Trust, which runs the Graceland museum, owed $3.8 million (£3 million) for failing to repay a loan taken out in 2018.
