After snatching a cell phone in Karachi’s Nazimabad neighborhood on Friday, a robber jumped on and hanged from electricity lines in a last-ditch attempt to elude the police.
The man is seen dangling from the wires in the widely shared video for a long time before the cops finally apprehend the robber after multiple tries.
In a video, a sizable throng gathers below to catch the mobile snatcher as he leaps from a pillar next to a pedestrian bridge onto the wires.
Before escaping, the unnamed burglar had stolen a cell phone from a rider. The cyclist can be seen with an injury on his arm in one of the recorded films.
The looter was hanging from the wire pillars when the mob yelled at him to get down.
