According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) conducted an aerial exercise “separately” with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) in an effort to enhance its capacity to protect the nation’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Chinese personnel and advanced equipment simulated modern aerial combat situations during Indus Shield-Chinese, a bilateral module of Exercise Indus Shield 2024, which finished at a PAF operational air base, according to the military’s media wing.
In the exercise, PAF’s J-10C and JF-17 Block-III fighter jets were pitted against Chinese AESA radar and long-range BVR missile-equipped J-16 and J-10C fighter aircraft, the deadly HQ-22 surface-to-air defense system, the powerful airborne electronic warfare YTG-9 platform, and the KJ-500 Airborne Early Warning System.
