The facility in Nuseirat camp was hit by a barrage of artillery on Sunday, killing entire families and injuring dozens more, according to Gaza’s Hamas-run Civil Defense Agency.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the reports are being investigated.
Earlier, a drone strike is said to have killed five children who were playing on a northern Gaza street corner.
At least 50 people were injured and over a dozen people were killed in the strike on the al-Mufti school, which served as a shelter for hundreds of displaced Palestinians from all across Gaza, according to a civil defense spokesman.
Israeli forces have been stepping up their attacks in the northern section of Gaza for more than a week as part of a massive military campaign, and these regions have seen the most fighting in recent days. Since then, hundreds have been slain, according to Gazan authorities.
Israeli tanks have been spotted on the edges of the main city in the region, and residents of Beit Hanoun, Jabalia, and Beit Lahiya have reported being blocked off from the neighboring metropolis of Gaza.
The World Health Organization reported that, after nine days of efforts, a collaborative operation with the Red Cross had restocked two of the hospitals in the area, but the remaining hospitals are running low on supplies.
