LONDON: According to two close aides of Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, the imprisoned former prime minister believes that the senior leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is diluting and manipulating his directives. As a result, he selected his spouse to deliver the actual message to the masses in letter and spirit.
Mashal Yousafzai, Bushra Bibi’s aide and spokesman, and Maryam Riaz Wattoo, the sister of the former first lady, discussed Bushra Bibi’s involvement in the “final call” protest, its outcome, and the controversy surrounding it with The Guardian. They both claimed that Bushra Bibi was merely acting in Khan’s best interests and following his orders.
Khan has been extremely irritated while incarcerated because he believes his directives are not being followed at the local level.
