The Sindh government has made the decision to randomly test colleges around the province for drugs in an effort to combat the problem of drug usage in educational settings.
A three-member committee has been established to work with the medical screening teams when they visit the colleges to administer the students’ random medical testing, per a notice released by the provincial College Education Department.
In order to inform students about the detrimental impacts of drug use on their health, academic performance, and future employment opportunities, the committee will also host seminars, workshops, and awareness campaigns in coordination with the relevant parties in their individual institutions, according to the notification.
