Kane, 30, was withdrawn in the second half of Bayern Munich’s Champions League semi-final second leg loss to Real Madrid a week ago, and he missed the last two Bundesliga games of the season.
Outgoing Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel claimed Kane was suffering from a “complete blockage” and was unable to move.
Southgate, on the other hand, claims that his main striker is “pretty much clear now”.
“He is fairly easygoing about it. “I think it was a wise decision not to push for the final game there,” Southgate said.
“Back problems can just happen – travel, whatever – but it is not something we are concerned about right now.
