On Friday morning, Mark Ross, 32, of Armley, is scheduled to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court.
The 42-year-old Sheffield resident Claudiu-Carol Kondor was declared dead at the scene on Tuesday night in Heights Drive, Wortley, following the apparent theft of his silver Ford Transit Cargo van in Alliance Street as he was making a delivery.
A 24-year-old male was detained on suspicion of murder on Thursday, according to the police.
Under investigation, a woman who was detained concurrently on suspicion of aiding an offender has been freed.
It is believed that Mr. Kondor delivered an item to Amazon before going back to his routine.
The victim was partially inside the van’s passenger door when the driver drove off quickly after he attempted to stop the alleged theft.
Mr. Kondor was hurt on the street as the vehicle struck two parked cars before being taken off the road.
Five minutes after the officers were dispatched, they discovered the delivery man unresponsive and people in the public attempting to revive him.
