A tweet encouraging people to donate to a fictitious charity was posted to the Friends star’s account, who passed away in October of last year.
A pinned post at the top of the Friends actor’s profile seems to point to a foundation established in his memory, asking for donations. The icon passed away in October of last year.

“We have received reports that Matthew’s official X page has been hacked and is directing users to a fraudulent site soliciting donations via cryptocurrency,” the Matthew Perry Foundation said in an Instagram post.
“Kindly refrain from sharing the phony posts on social media or making donations to this website.
