Wes Streeting, the health secretary, is urging everyone to participate in a “national conversation” that will help define the government’s “10 Year Health Plan”.
The public, NHS employees, and specialists are being asked to submit their perspectives, experiences, and thoughts on the future direction of the health service.
Until the start of next year, people can share their thoughts via the NHS app or on change.nhs.uk.
Mr. Streeting, who underwent treatment for kidney cancer in 2021, claimed that everyone owed the NHS “a debt of gratitude” and that it “saved my life.”
“We now have an opportunity to pay back that debt,” he remarked.
The NHS is currently experiencing the biggest crisis in its history. Despite its flaws, the NHS has not been defeated.
A change “from hospital to community” is what the government is referring to as the project’s component.
Plans for new neighborhood health centers will be part of it, allowing patients to see general practitioners, district nurses, caretakers, physiotherapists, health visitors, and mental health specialists in one location.
Additionally, they intend to convert the NHS “from analogue to digital” by transferring all patient health data, test results, and correspondence to the NHS app.
