For Jenni, launching a business was almost by accident; for many others, it is a lifelong ambition.
“I was on a day off and went for a coffee with a friend, she had her daughter in a high chair, her daughter choked, and she didn’t know what to do,” Jenni.
Since I was a police officer and had first aid training, I was able to rapidly remove the obstruction, take up her daughter, and give her back blows. She recovered completely.
“I went home to my husband that night and said ‘why don’t parents know this really basic stuff’.”
The brilliant concept of first aid courses focused on providing medical care to kids was born, and now Daisy First Aid, which began with just £400, is about to go global.
