Giants supporters had to leave MetLife Stadium and head out onto Route 3 in East Rutherford, New Jersey early once more as a result of a few critical errors and difficult decisions made by the players on the field.
Cincinnati prevailed 17–7.
Burrow had an effect. Burrow chose to run the ball to his right on 3rd-and-12 from the Giants’ 47-yard line. Everyone was shocked to see that there was not a single Giants player present. His career’s longest touchdown run came as he sprinted, giving Cincinnati an early 7-0 lead.
That is how it was for most of the game. On their own, the Giants converted two fourth-down plays.
The Giants had a real chance to tie the game again, but the Bengals seized the lead on the following drive.
After Jaylin Hyatt failed to give himself a shot at a long throw, Daniel Jones led the club on an 11-play, 42-yard drive. The quarterback then fired the pass into a Bengals defender’s facemask.
