A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which is in Pakistan right now to examine the legal system as part of the $7 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF), met with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi and praised the continuous reforms meant to improve accountability and governance.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, the IMF’s technical mission team is in the nation to carry out a governance and corruption diagnostic assessment (GCDA). According to the announcement, it would look at six important institutions and areas linked to governance.
In order to help the government implement reforms for fostering transparency, bolstering institutional capacities, and attaining inclusive and sustainable economic growth, the ministry had stated that the GCDA report would suggest measures for addressing corruption vulnerabilities and bolstering integrity and governance.
