For the third day in a row, Karachi is experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures predicted to reach 42 degrees Celsius today, according to the Met Department.
The city is seeing a lot of heat and humidity mixed with partially cloudy skies.
According to the department, gusts of up to 24 km/h are coming from the west, which is making things more uncomfortable. The air is measured to have 78% humidity, which adds to the unbearable heat.
Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz issued a warning, stating that Karachi is expected to see another heat wave tomorrow. But he did provide a ray of optimism, stating that the heat wave’s severity would start to decline on June 2.
Since then, Sarfraz said, the city is forecast to continue to see some cloud cover and temperatures between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius.
Residents who have been suffering the intense heat in recent days will be relieved by the anticipated relief. Karachiites are urged to adopt the appropriate safety and hydration measures in light of the current heat wave.
