Given her choice of handle, Meghan Markle’s obvious desire to regain her independence has just come to light.
In his most recent interview with The Mirror US, royal scholar Edward Coram James said these things about the former royal.
First, he stated, “Meghan is a woman blessed with many things—fame, influence, a platform—but autonomy wasn’t one of them for a long time.”
For those who don’t know, this comment refers to her previous social media activity and the fact that she had to take down accounts like The Tig after marrying into the royal family.
Accordingly, Mr. Coram James believes that she is using her account to “reclaim that autonomy, one Instagram story at a time.”
