In the Sindh Assembly Committee Room, the PPP’s human rights cell hosted a discussion on the proposed constitutional amendment package and judicial reforms. The PPP-Sindh president Nisar Khuhro presided over the ceremony, which was also attended by rights activist Anis Haroon, MNA Nafisa Shah, Senator Zamir Ghumro, and Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani.
The speakers expressed their desire for the country to adopt the Constitution and the parliament as supreme.
Speaking during the session, Mr. Khuhro questioned why the Federal Shariat Court could be founded but the constitutional court could not.
“Judicial reforms and the creation of a constitutional court have become inevitable and imperative in the current circumstances,” he continued.
