ISLAMABAD: In order to avoid corruption and the distribution of subpar goods to the populace, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared on Tuesday that the government would release the Ramadan Relief Package this year without the Utility Stores’ assistance.
“As Holy Ramadan draws near, I have requested that the Ministry of National Food Security create a Ramadan package that does not include utility stores. Speaking during a federal cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the premier stated, “I had requested many months ago that this cannot continue with the utility stores.”
A seven-member cabinet committee was established by the current administration last month to supervise the swift suspension of USC operations across the country. Additionally, the group had to come up with a plan on how to distribute the Ramadan package.
