ISLAMABAD In its requests for talks with the government, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday called for the creation of two committees headed by the chief justice or three senior Supreme Court justices to look into the circumstances surrounding the May 9 and November 24 protests.
The PTI states in its ‘Charter of Demands’ that the dialogue process will be terminated if the government does not form the commissions.
At the third meeting between the coalition government and the party founded by Imran Khan at Parliament House in Islamabad, PTI leader Omar Ayub Khan gave the demands to National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, who is mediating negotiations between the government and the main opposition party.
