Azma Bokhari, the minister of information for Punjab, asserted that the complaint regarding the purported rape of a female student at a private college in Lahore has not been verified and stated that an investigation committee will provide its report in less than 48 hours.
Bukhari also denounced political opponents for disseminating misleading information and charged them of utilizing social media to foment unrest.
Bukhari stressed that no proof has been produced to back up the allegations during a Punjab Assembly meeting and cautioned against using kids as political props.
“It is inappropriate to use school and college students for political purposes,” the speaker stated.
