In just a few hours, a stepmother shared a terrible family tale on Reddit that went viral with over 2,500 reactions and almost 1,000 comments. The stepmother admitted she was losing her patience with her challenging circumstances and was no longer providing the same level of care for her stepdaughter as she had in the past.
The stepdaughter, “Sally,” is 17 years old and in what the mother (who remained anonymous) described as a “pretty crucial year academically, [as] the grades she will get will affect her next year when she’s a senior.”
According to “Glittering-Record-49,” a Reddit member, the teenager has been requesting the new iPhone 15, and I assured her that we will get it provided she improves her grades and receives at least two A+.
A REDDIT user who was kicked out of his home refuses to return in order to take care of his sick mother: “It is possible to have guilt.”
The young woman posted in the AITA subreddit (“Am I the a–hole”), saying that when her “test results came around – [and] she didn’t meet the criteria her father and I set in any way.”
The adolescent, on the other hand, “ended up failing a subject.”
The article states that the stepmother “told her no phone until [she] makes up for what she failed and [does] better in her end-of-year finals.”
The user mentioned that this wasn’t warmly welcomed.
“She didn’t like that she isn’t getting her new phone now and hated that we [established] a new criteria for her until her finals and began to be mouthy,” the individual commented on Reddit.
“I told her the position we have is very firm [and] nothing will change until she does better.”
