The American singer called the response from the sold-out crowds at Wembley on Tuesday as she concluded the European leg of her Eras Tour a “giant bear hug”.
Less than two weeks had passed since three performances in the Austrian capital were postponed due to a purported terror plot, so leaving the house was a “rollercoaster of emotions” for him.
“Because so many people had planned to attend those shows, the reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear and a tremendous amount of guilt,” she wrote on Wednesday night in an Instagram post.
However, I was also really appreciative of the authorities as it was because of them that we were mourning concerts rather than lives.
She thanked authorities and stadium workers for their assistance, saying that all of her attention had to be directed towards safeguarding the roughly half a million fans attending her events in London.
“Let me be very clear: if I think speaking about something publicly might incite those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows, then I will not speak about it,” she continued.
