ISLAMABAD: The political committee of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) discussed last night whether to postpone the protest march scheduled for November 24 in light of the ruling by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and the controversy that Bushra Bibi sparked.
Some PTI leaders who participated in the discussions last night said that, in light of the IHC ruling, the majority of the committee members supported calling off the protest march scheduled for November 24.
They believed that there should be an opportunity for communication with the government. The PTI political committee resolved to offer the jailed party’s founder leader, Imran Khan, the option of canceling the protest call and giving dialogue a chance so that he could make a decision.
