As part of efforts to reduce smog in the city, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday directed the appropriate authorities to impound any vehicles that have not undergone a fitness assessment.
In a three-page ruling during the final hearing on petitions aimed at reducing smog, Justice Shahid Karim of the LHC stated that the uninspected cars ought to be impounded.

Lahore, a major economic center and home to millions of people, has a lot of cars and a number of factories, which raises the AQI levels.
The district government levied a fine on Sunday.
