Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, and the West Midlands had significant travel disruptions as a result of the severe weather that struck the northern and central regions of both England and Wales, according to the Met Office.
The Environment Agency issued 119 flood alerts this morning, indicating that flooding is likely, and 66 flood warnings, indicating that flooding is expected, throughout England.
Later on Sunday, a fresh yellow weather warning for severe winds was issued for Wales and the southwest of England.
On Sunday, winds will pick up speed from the west to the east, perhaps causing disruptions with gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
According to the Met Office, there may be severe downpours along with this, which might result in some surface water and spray.
This morning, an earlier yellow rain warning that covered a vast portion of England and Wales expired at 9 a.m. Additionally, an amber warning that only covered the Midlands and south expired at 6 a.m.
