According to authorities, on Saturday, unknown attackers demolished former Senator Saleh Shah’s home in upper South Waziristan.
The building was totally destroyed by the attackers using explosives.
Following the alert, police and security personnel hurried to the scene, cordoned off the area, and began a search.
Shah’s home on Gomal Tank Road has been attacked before; this is not the first time it has happened.
Saleh Shah is well-known for helping to open up communication between the government and the Taliban. Investigations into the most recent attack are still continuing, therefore the motivation is yet unknown.
