At the age of 79, renowned film director Altaf Hussain, a mainstay of the Pakistani film industry, passed away.
Until recently, Altraf Hussain—who had been battling sickness for some time—was actively participating in the industry. A few days before he passed away, he had started filming Tere Pyaar Nanu Salaam, an upcoming Punjabi movie.
Hussain directed nearly 80 films during the course of a fruitful career that spanned several decades, making a lasting impression on Punjabi and Urdu cinema.
His renowned creations include classic movies like Men Don’t Let Live, Chaudhry Badshah, Sahib Ji, Mard Sala Sahib, Ek Pagal Si Dalki, Dhi Rani, Mehndi, Rani Beti Raj Kare Gi, and Char Khon Ke Payase.
