Kate Winslet does not remember her iconic “Titanic” kiss with Leonardo DiCaprio with nostalgia.
When talking about the famous “I’m Flying” scene from the film, where she and DiCaprio stood on the ship’s bow, Winslet acknowledged that while it appeared romantic on screen, it wasn’t really that way behind the scenes.
“Oh my, isn’t he quite the romantic? It makes sense why all young girls want to kiss Leonardo DiCaprio, Winslet remarked. “It was not all it’s cracked up to be.”
The Academy Award-winning actress described the scene’s filming as “a mess,” blaming a variety of circumstances for the problem.
Kate Winslet talks about the “titanic” 25th anniversary, while James Cameron claims that the movie “traumatized” her.
Her clothing was so tight that she was having trouble breathing, she repeatedly banged her leg on the ship’s railing, and she was too far away from the crew for the cosmetics and hair crew to get to them.
They “had to climb up a ladder,” which meant that Winslet had to conceal her brushes and makeup on one side of her jacket and DiCaprio’s on the other, and that they had to change their cosmetics between takes.
