49-year-old Erin Patterson is accused of three murders and five attempted murders related to the July 2017 beef Wellington dinner.
Following lunch at Erin Patterson’s home in the Australian town of Leongatha, Victoria, Don Patterson and his wife Gail, all 70, as well as her sister Heather Wilkinson, 66, became ill and passed away in the hospital.
Court records identify the defendant’s ex-husband Simon Patterson as the purported victim in four charges of attempted murder, spanning three distinct occurrences in 2021 and 2022.
He hadn’t said yes to the lunch invitation.
A fifth count concerns Mrs. Wilkinson’s spouse Ian, a preacher in a nearby town who was hospitalized for several weeks after the lunch.
Ms. Patterson continues to insist on her innocence.
