Throughout his entire presidency, President Biden has faced questions about his age and mental capacity, but after Special Counsel Robert Hur’s shocking report was published this month, those doubts have significantly increased.
Even while Biden continues to be one of the most outspoken liberals, many are raising concerns about the possible ramifications of Hur’s study, which found that the president was unable to recall important aspects about his life, including as the year his son Beau passed away and the year he served as vice president. In addition, the investigation came to the startling conclusion that Hur was unable to prosecute Biden for “willful” possession of secret material because a jury would consider him to be a “sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”
At a last-minute nighttime press conference, Biden angrily yelled at multiple reporters, including those from news and The Washington Post, who inquired about his age, sparking an immediate political backlash. Adding to his litany of recent blunders involving international leaders, Biden himself added gasoline to the fire during the news conference when he confused the presidents of Mexico and Egypt while talking about the Israel-Hamas conflict.
