As the city administration starts to take precautions, such as the deployment of containers in Faizabad, a junction in the twin cities, PTI’s media secretary, Sheikh Waqas Akram, has confirmed plans for the party’s demonstration on October 4 at Islamabad’s D-Chowk.
Tuesday, during his video link appearance on News Insight with Amir Zia, Akram provided an overview of the specifics of the impending PTI protests.
He said that protests were scheduled for Wednesday in Mianwali, Bahawalpur, and Faisalabad. In addition, the same day there will be a lawyer protest outside the Supreme Court. Protests are scheduled for October 5 in Lahore after that.
Protesting is a “fundamental right,” Akram continued, calling current laws in Islamabad that address protests unfair.
