Karachi: According to data released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday, the port city saw the coldest night of the winter season last night, with temperatures as low as 8.5 degrees Celsius.
Due to the northeasterly winds that have been sweeping across the city for the past few weeks, Karachi has been experiencing cold weather, particularly at night.
The Met Office has forecast a further decline in the megalopolis’ temperature over the following 24 hours, albeit a modest one, with temperatures set to range from 8°C to 10°C.
The city’s humidity during the last 24 hours was 25%, and the predominant wind direction was light northeast.
Gulistan-e-Johar experienced the lowest recorded nighttime temperature in Karachi.
