Najmul Hossain Shanto conveyed his sincere appreciation for Bangladesh’s historic Test triumph over Pakistan in a post-match interview.
Shanto prayed for the spirits of those who recently died in house protests and dedicated the victory to them. In a private moment, he revealed how his wife had urged him the previous evening, telling him that a victory would make the day extremely memorable. “Thank God, we prevailed in this game. For us, today is historic,” he remarked.
It was also his birthday on the day of the historic victory.
Shanto underlined the team’s belief that they might accomplish something exceptional in this series while considering the significance of the win. He complimented each squad member for their moral integrity and diligence, both on and off the field.
