In a move that will provide solace to the erstwhile ruling party, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday ordered the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to open the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretariat.
In a six-page written ruling, Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz of the IHC declared, “CDA may take action strictly in accordance with law in case of any non-conformity or violation of the applicable laws.”
This is the party’s second significant win after the IHC overturned the convictions of the party’s vice chairman, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and its jailed founder, Imran Khan, in a cipher case involving allegations of mishandling and misplacing a sensitive diplomatic document on Monday.
