The four-time Grammy winner arrived at Sheffield College while 19-year-old student Lol Bailey was performing the singer’s number-one single Shape of You in the college’s drama and music theatre.
The 33-year-old artist chuckled as a student rapped: “Came to the studio; the new day is waking; Ed Sheehan is here; my legs are kind of shaking.”
He also answered the young kids’ queries about the sector and listened to their future professional goals.
The Sheffield College’s chief executive and principal, Angela Foulkes, said it was “fantastic” to welcome Sheeran.
“It’s not every day that a global singer-songwriter stops by to share their talent.
