Griffin Dunne, an actor and filmmaker, and Carrie Fisher had a unique and close bond.
Dunne was an actor in the business, and Fisher was set to have her breakthrough performance in “Star Wars.” The two had lived together in New York City for a while.
Dunne describes their friendship in his new memoir, “The Friday Afternoon Club: A Family Memoir,” which will be released on Tuesday. He claims that she lost her virginity to him while she was seeing someone else.
In a passage that appeared in “The news,” Dunne stated, “Let me be blunt for a moment: Carrie was never my girlfriend. She was aware, much before I was, that our chances of becoming lovers would be limited. When we first met, Carrie was a virgin and loved every outrageous.
He went on, mentioning that she was asking him how to win her over because she was seeing someone else at the time.
“Out of all her puzzled suitors, I was cheering for Donald since I loved him the best. I found it difficult to inform him that Carrie had decided to lose her virginity to me early on in their courtship. Despite how insane it may sound, Carrie’s strategy made sense in certain ways. I had been guiding her through the intricacies of every possible sexual act for years, akin to an explosives handler instructing a homemaker on how to disarm a bomb. Sure, it might be frightening, but only if you have experience with it,” Dunne wrote.
