Widespread anger and concerns about a covert intelligence sharing between the two neighbors have been raised by the strange incarceration of Kizza Besigye, the opposition leader of Uganda, while he was visiting Kenya over two weeks ago.
Besigye’s wife and allies have come forward with graphic details about how the opposition leader was allegedly tricked into meeting his kidnappers, who allegedly pretended to be Kenyan security forces.
According to reports, he was spied on from the moment he boarded an aircraft at Uganda’s Entebbe airport for Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, where he was pulled up. He was then moved to a military court back home without any extradition procedures.
