Former Nine Entertainment CEO Hugh Marks has joined the Australian as a managing director.
Following an “extensive and international search,” the board has selected Marks, who is regarded as the seasoned executive, as the new CEO.
Additionally, he will be in charge of the broadcaster’s content as editor-in-chief.
Marks is replacing David Anderson, who resigned in August during his second five-year term, according to a report by Deadline.
Following what Chair Kim Williams referred to as an “extended” handover period, he will begin his duties on March 10, 2025.
Williams praised Marks, saying, “Hugh is a very successful media executive with over 30 years of experience in content both in Australia and abroad.”
